About this chile
It is a man-made hybrid created in England, a cross of three beasts: bhut jolokia, naga morich and trinidad scorpion. In 2011 it briefly held the Guinness record for the world's hottest chilli. Because it comes from such a recent cross it is genetically unstable: its seeds do not always grow true to the parent, which makes it hard to reproduce reliably.
