About this chile
It has the innocent looks of a banana pepper, same shape, same glossy yellow, but it bites like a jalapeño, so do not be fooled. It comes from Hungary, cradle of paprika, and its smooth, shiny surface earns it the "wax" surname. It is picked young, when yellow; left to ripen it turns orange and red and grows sweeter.
