Michelada of fire

Ice-cold beer with lime, hot sauce and a chili rim. The Mexican michelada, like a Bloody Mary with beer.

Steps

  1. Wet the rim of the glass with lime and roll it in salt mixed with chili powder.
  2. Pour into the bottom the lime juice, the hot sauce (the hotter, the better) and a touch of soy.
  3. Fill with ice and top up with beer slowly, so you do not lose the foam.
  4. Stir, taste and adjust the heat until it bites just enough.
  5. Toast and repeat.
