Feta with a spark

Feta marinated in olive oil with chili flakes, garlic and oregano. Cheese and spicy oil in one jar.

Steps

  1. Cut the feta into cubes and pat them dry with paper so the oil grips better.
  2. In a jar, alternate the cubes with slices of garlic, chili flakes, oregano and strips of lemon zest.
  3. Cover with olive oil until the cheese is fully submerged.
  4. Close it and let it marinate in the fridge for at least a day, better three.
  5. Use it on toast, in salads or pasta, and do not throw out the oil: it stays spicy and aromatic for dressings.
